Refunds

Please understand that planning a Fast Life event is a highly customized, time-consuming process. Our unique software and staff work hard to ensure that each guest is placed at the most suitable event. A cancellation at any time can be a real setback to the process. Your place cannot be reserved or confirmed until payment has been received.

Here is FastLife cancellation policy in detail:

You are eligible to have your fee refunded (less a $10 administration charge) at any time prior to an invitation being sent.

Once you have been sent an invitation email you are no longer eligible for a refund.

If you are unable to attend an event on the date indicated in your invitation, please decline the invitation. You will be sent an invitation to the next suitable event. This will happen a maximum of three times before your fee is suspended. In order to re-activate your account you will need to email. Accounts are de-activated in order to prevent spamming members that have decided against using the service.

If you do not show up for a date once you have confirmed that you will attend, your registration fee is forfeit.

People that fail to show up once they have confirmed are also degrading the experience for the other guests: If you know you're not going to be there, please let us know out of consideration for the other guests.

Invitations

We aim to ensure that members that have provided payment upfront are sent an invitation within 2 weeks. However depending on your profile, sometime it takes a little longer than 2 weeks to pLan an event that suits your preferences and send an invitation. You are of course eligible for a refund at any time prior to your first invitation being sent.

We will have between 16 and 24 singles, with equal numbers of men and women, booked into each of our speed dating events. We aim to have 20, 10 men and 10 women. You can expect to have between 8 and 12 dates during your FastLife standard speed dating event.

Event Cancellation

We always wait until enough people have registered before sending out invitations to speed dating events, and in order to ensure that we have the required number of guests at each event we have to send out many more invitations than there are spaces available, so please be sure to accept your invitation as soon as possible as events almost always fill up several days ahead of time. However, approximately 4% of events fail to fill in time. If we are not able to fill an event we will reschedule the event (usually no more than 2 weeks from the original date). You will be notified of the new date by email and SMS the day before the event (unless we have an unusually large number of people cancelling on the day of the event in which case we will notify you on the day). If this new date is not convenient you will be offered the opportunity to wait for the next suitable event or a refund (less the $10 administration charge). Please note that should you wish to be refunded you must make this request no later than 48 hours after the notification of the event rescheduling.

We recognize that our guests look forward to attending our events and that postpoing an event can be extremely frustrating. Please be assured that we make every effort to ensure that all events proceed as planned and only cancel an event when we are confident that the experience for our guests would not be up to the normal high standard. Speed dating relies on there being an equal number of men and women and if there is a significant difference in the number of men and women, or there just aren't enough people overall then we prefer to choose the lesser of 2 evils and postpose the event.

Prices

The cost to attend each event is specified in your invitation or on your "My Details" Page. However, prices and service offerings can change at any time without prior notice. The price will be displayed on the payment page prior to entering credit card details.

Bar Policy

Drinks at FastLife events are subject to both Responsible Service of Alcohol and Fair Use Policies. Guests that appear intoxicated will not be served alcohol, and a maximum of 4 alcoholic beverages will be served per person at each event. You are of course welcome to enjoy unlimited non alcoholic beverages.

Remember, at a speed dating event you want to make a good first impression, (well 10 good first impressions really!) and drinking yourself under the table is not the way to do this!

FastLife Speed Dating holds no responsibility for the outcome of any relationship that may or may not arise between you and another person that you might meet through a FastLife Speed Dating event. FastLife take no responsibility for the activities neither of participants, nor of participants at consequential meetings. You agree not to initiate any claim against Fast Life resulting from either social or dating activities and agree to hold FastLife free from any liability.

FastLife also reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual who has not conducted themselves in a proper manner or who we have received complaints about during an event.

FastLife reserves the right to alter any aspect of its services, including but not limited to pricing, at any time without notice.

Photographs at Events

FastLife often takes photographs for publicity purposes. These images may appear in our printed publications, member newsletters and on our website. By registering to become a member you provide permission to FastLife to use your image(s) taken at events in publicity material (newsletter, web page, powerpoints, etc). NAMES WILL NOT BE USED.
