MDs make hearts flutter in the dating game
VANCOUVER -- Doctors are the most likely to get pulses racing when it comes to dating potential, while politicians are among the last choices of the romantically inclined.
While the news about politicians may come as no surprise, survey results released this week by the speed-dating service FastLife and the online-dating giant Lavalife, are also encouraging for architects, who rate right up there behind doctors as being in the profession of choice for women choosing dates.

The enduring appeal of tall men
Standing all of five foot three in my bare feet, I’m willing to admit that I’m short. In fact, I still use a stool to reach things on the top shelves of my kitchen cabinets.
Yet when it comes to dating, size does still matter: I want to date someone who has a few extra inches on me. Apparently, I’m not alone.

Picky, picky, picky.
That's singles today. And I'm one of them.
Years ago, it was enough that a prospective partner was reasonably attractive, had a good sense of humour and was available. Now the "requirement" list is the length of a roll of paper towels and someone isn't acceptable unless every box is checked.
Never mind soulmates. People are looking for supermates.
Singles justify it by stating they "won't settle for less" and "I'm worth it" — whether the latter is realistically balanced against the list or not.
