The date was going well. He was making us laugh, seemed nice and fit into "our type." Unfortunately, we felt we would have better chemistry with the man enjoying the grilled seafood salad one table to our right.
Then the gong sounded, and table-to-our-right man came to sit in front of us. It's a scenario that can only happen at a Fastlife Tasting Dating event.
And when we got over the idea that, well, we were speed dating, we found it easy to enjoy the rotating smorgasbord of single men combined with the gourmet meal. ("What do you think of the lychee sorbet?" is a great conversation starter.)
In addition to break-the-ice cocktails, we had 12 minutes with each of the 10 men (all smart and successful), who arrived at the table at the same time as the next dinner dish and fresh drink. You might even catch us at the next event, scheduled for Wednesday, April 11.
